22September2016–TheorganiserofCommuniCastMyanmar2016todayannouncedtheshowwill movetoanewlocationandtakeplacelaterthanplannedthisyearduetochangesintheavailabilityof themainexhibitionvenue.

CommuniCastMyanmar2016willnowtakeplacefromTuesday,December6toThursday,December8,whiletheassociatedMyanmarSatelliteForum,willbeheldonWednesday,December7.

ThenewvenueforthecombinedeventistheNovotelYangonMax,inthecentreofMyanmar,whichwill providetheopportunitytostageaprofessionaltradeshowof90companiesandtheMyanmarSatellite Forum in onelocation.

RupertOwen,DirectorforICTshowsatAllworldExhibitions,said:‘’SincethelaunchoftheCommuniCast MyanmareventinYangonin2014wehavelookedforconsistencybothinthedatesandthevenue. Unfortunately,theMyanmarEventPark’scurrentlicensingarrangementsaretoouncertaintofacilitatetherunningofaninternational event fortheICTand satelliteindustriesontheplanned dates.Thelate changeisregrettablebutthecircumstancesarebeyondourcontrolandthoseofourpartnersin Myanmar.”

Lastyear’sCommuniCastwasattendedbymorethan2,500delegatesandvisitors.Thisyear,morethan 80exhibitorshavealreadysigneduptotakepartinCommuniCast2016,withtopicsincludingICT solutions, mobile andbroadband settobediscussed, aswell assatellite andbroadcasting attheco‐ locatedMyanmarSatelliteForum.

Sincetheeventwaslaunchedin2014,mobilepenetrationlevelsinthecountryhavegrownfromcloseto 10%to55%bythemiddleof2016.Thiscontinuestogrowrapidly,with4GservicesavailableinYangon. Inthecurrentmarket,opportunitiesaredrivenbythegrowingmobileenterprise,satellite&broadband servicesandbroadcastingtechnologies.
